Small Business Saturday
Many Phelps County retailers will be participating in Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 28. The day features fun for the entire family and sales and specials at many area stores.
The Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a book walk in downtown Holdrege. Families will be encouraged to walk downtown where they can find one page of a storybook at each participating location.
Also, the chamber will cut the ribbon for its new Christmas lights and will sponsor a Christmas Cruise night.
The chamber is also offering Holdrege for the Holidays (formerly Winter Wonderland), which is its annual shop local program where shoppers can earn stamps by shopping at local participating retailers. For each card that is filled with stamps, the shopper will earn a chance to win a share of $4,000 in chamber checks. The Holdrege for the Holidays program continues through Dec. 19 with the drawing to take place on Dec. 22.
